The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) strongly condemned on Monday the terrorist attacks that targeted Coptic churches in Egypt, calling on Egyptians to unite to thwart terrorist groups’ schemes.
“ISESCO urges Egyptian citizens, Muslims and Christians alike to support each other, and work together to thwart terrorist groups’ schemes to sow discord and hatred and undermine security and peace,” the Islamic organ said in a statement.
It described the terrorist attacks against innocent worshippers as a criminal act that contradicts the lofty teachings and ideals of religions, which preach peace, benevolence and civilized dialogue while rejecting injustice and extremism.
ISESCO also conveyed its condolences to the families of the victims and wished a prompt recovery to the injured. Enditem
