Christopher Opoku: Photos from ace sports journalists' funeral

Christopher Opoku has been laid to rest at Besease in the Ashanti region of Ghana. 

Ace sports journalist Christopher Opoku has been buried on Saturday July 15, 2017 in the Ashanti region.

              

Tributes poured in from wife and children of the late Christopher Opoku and other well wishers when he was laid in state at the KNUST Poolside Park, before the burial at Besease in the Asante Akyem district of the  Ashanti region.      

                

The final funeral rites will be held in the afternoon at KNUST poolside park, where family members, friends in the media, the football fraternity, sports loving fans and all sympathisers will convene to pay their final respect to the deceased. 

        

          

Christopher Opoku who has a vast experience in journalism, having previously worked with media houses including Luv FM, Metro TV, Joy FM, Asempa FM, GTV and Citi FM passed away in April, 2017, after battling with cancer for years.     

                     

 May his soul rest in perfect peace.
