Boxing: Dogbe, Chacon calls on ex-President Rawlings ahead of megafight

The duo was at the residence of the former President to seek his support ahead of the big bout.

Isaac Dogboe and his Argentine opponent Javier Chacon visited ex-President Jerry John Rawlings at his residence on Friday.

Dogboe and Chacon made weight and came face to face on Friday morning at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel ahead of their mega fight on Friday at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

And proceeded to the former President home to seek his blessing and support before coming face to face in the ring on Saturday.

He wished the two boxers the best of luck, but predicted victory for Isaac Dogboe his compatriot.

The two boxers also promised to put up the best of performance to make him proud.

Jerry John Rawlings has great admiration for boxing, having watched numerous bouts on the domestic scene, including the Bukom Banku Ayittey Powers fight and many more.
