
A bunch of eulogies from top societal figures have followed the passing of the late cultural icon.
Veteran actor, Adebayo Faleti, who died on Sunday, July 23, 2017, has been laid to rest in his hometown, Agboye located in Oyo State, Nigeria.
The burial of the deceased who was known for his remarkable achievement in theatre and broadcasting was attended by top dignitaries such as Abiola Ajimobi, the Executive Governor of the south-west state.
Ajimobi who was represented by Mr. Toye Arulogun, the Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, described the late cultural icon as a “living genius and a man of impact on his generation.”
Nollywood films legend, Dele Odule, one of the guests at the burial ceremony shared words of motivation in his speech concerning the veteran.
“He was a disciplinarian and courageous person. I have learnt from him a lot of virtues because Baba would always tell you that when the situation is tough, only those who are tougher get going.
"He believed that when you fail, you should not be disappointed because it only prepares you for better opportunities,” he said.
The funeral service organized for Adebayo Faleti was held at the First Baptist Church, Oyo, where Rt. Rev. Ayo Ladigbolu, a retired Methodist Church Nigeria Archbishop gave a sermon.

Faleti's marks of success saw him win a list of awards such as the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), Festival of Arts Award for his book "Eda Ko L’aropin" (1995), as well as the Afro-Hollywood Award for Outstanding Performance in Arts (2002).
