The FA Cup champions were edged by a goal to nil by new Ghana Premier league entrants Dreams fc
Dream FC gave Kumasi Asante Kotoko a big shock on match day 2 of the G8 tournament when they defeated them by a lone goal on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.
The hosts who looked confused throughout the first half were punished when Richard Adae finished off in a superb manner on the stroke of half time.
The second half failed to produce any goal, despite all attempts to get the equaliser by Asante Kotoko while playing in front of the Kumasi fans.
Frederick Boateng had the best opportunity in the second half yet he wasted the penalty kick that was awarded to the Porcupine Warriors in the 70 minute.
Coach Steve Polack’s charges came under intense criticisms despite winning 1-0 against topflight league debutant Techiman Eleven Wonders on Sunday.
