Prominent lawyer Sam Okudzeto, former mayor of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Stanley Adjiri Blankson, Margaret Amoakohene and eleven others have been appointed by the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo onto the Council of State.
In a statement signed by the acting Communications Director at the Flagstaff House, Eugene Arhin, it explained that the appointment was made in pursuant of article 82(2)(d) of the Constitution.
‘The composition of the council will be complete with the election of the representatives due to be held on Thursday February 16, 2017,’ it said.
The President has also appointed General J.B. Danquah, a former Chief of Defence Staff of the Armed Forces, and Nana Owusu Nsiah, a former Inspector General of Police, to the Council.
