The deputy Special Prosecutor-nominee Cynthia Lamptey is expected to appear before the Appointments Committee of Parliament on Wednesday May 16, 2018.
Jane Cynthia Naa Korshie Lamptey was nominated by the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the deputy Special Prosecutor on April 26, 2018.
Her boss-to- be Martin Amidu spent almost 8 hours during his vetting.
The Special Prosecutor’s office is expected to be independent of the Executive, which observers believe will allow it to deal with corruption-related issues which have plagued governance adequately.
