The following is the full text of the statement signed by Dr Raymond A. Atuguba, Executive Secretary to the President copied to the Ghana News Agency on Sunday:

Attn: Paragraph two of item NSOC 003 filed earlier on April 7 with Slug ‘President Prayers’ is corrected to read: “He explained that the load-shedding would from now be carried out only during the night time…” and not the day time.  

He said though the nation went through a peaceful and incident free elections, there still seemed to be uneasy tension in the political atmosphere and urged that people should not allow politics and elections divide the nation.

The gesture followed a request placed before the MP’s desk by the District Sports Federation (DSF) to come to their aid. The MP said the donation formed part of his commitment towards the promotion of sports in schools in the district.

He, therefore, urged religious leaders, parents and guardians to inculcate the virtues of respect, obedience, hard work, honesty and sacrifice into the youth.
