Water is life. However, that is not the case for folks living in many rural areas in Ghana. Tsavanya in the Volta Region and Mpakandan in the Eastern Region are classic examples. People in Tsavanya rely on a stream far from the village as their major source of water. The downside is, that the stream is muddy and unhygienic for use. Taking this into account, will Ghana be able to fulfill United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal Six (6) by the year 2030? This is a great question to ponder over.
