Hearts of Oak midfielder George Paaku has noted that he is keen on regaining his top form to help the team in the remaining matches of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The youngster recently suffered an illness and had to spend some time in the hospital, a setback that saw him missing the league matches against Berekum Chelsea and Bibiani Gold Stars.
This week, Paaku has trained with his Hearts of Oak teammates as they prepare for their Week 25 fixture against Basake Holy Stars.
Speaking to Hearts TV ahead of the match, the attacking midfielder assured supporters that he is feeling better, adding that he is determined to get back to his best.
“I feel much better, and I’m preparing towards the next game. I would say I’m not fit like I was months ago because I was sick and I was admitted to the hospital. But I’m back, and I’m preparing to get back to my best,” George Paaku said.
Although the midfielder has looked good in training this week, it is unclear if he will be included in Coach Didi Dramani’s matchday squad for the match against Holy Stars.
That crucial match is scheduled for Sunday, March 8, and will kick off at 3 pm at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
