Karela United are on the verge of securing the services of experienced Lesotho international attacking midfielder Tumelo Stephen Makha, with a deal expected to be finalised this week.
The playmaker has already arrived in Tamale and has been training with the squad, where his performances have reportedly made a strong impression on the club's technical team.
The 26-year-old midfielder brings significant experience, having recently been a key player for South African side Black Leopards. Before that, he featured prominently for South African First Division clubs JDR Stars and Cape Town All Stars, having begun his career in his homeland with Lesotho Correctional Services (LCS).
For Makha, who has been capped by the Lesotho national team, the move represents a new challenge in the Ghana Premier League as he looks to reignite his career in a competitive new environment.
The player has already integrated with the Karela squad, with club insiders noting his sharpness and quality during training sessions.
Karela United, keen to strengthen their attacking options following a season of struggle, view Makha's creativity and vision as valuable assets. His arrival is part of a broader squad rebuild, which also includes recent acquisitions like Evans Osei Wusu and the highly rated winger Bless Ege, who recently departed for Mexico. If completed, this signing will add much-needed experience and guile to the Ayinase-based club's midfield as they aim to improve their league standing.
