âGhanaian midfielder Eric Taylor has become NK Aluminij KidriÄevo’s fourth winter signing, joining on loan from Slovenian giants Maribor to intensify competition in the heart of midfield.
The 24-year-old arrives with solid top-flight experience and a clear determination to help the “red-and-whites” in their fight for survival and cup success.
Taylor only joined Maribor in the summer transfer window, having previously played in Norway for Lillestrøm and in his homeland at New Life FC academy. In the first half of the Prva Liga Telemach season, he made 13 league appearances, featured twice in Europa League qualifiers and played once in the Union Brewery Cup, amassing 606 minutes with one goal and three assists.
On arrival in KidriÄevo, Taylor spoke of his happiness at the move and his belief that Aluminij is the right place to showcase his qualities.
"I am very happy that the two clubs agreed on my arrival in KidriÄevo. I followed the Aluminij team and they played very well in the autumn part, not least they also won against Maribor in the last round. Now I have to show my maximum in training first, to prove myself to the coach, I believe that I will be able to help the Aluminij team with my character and knowledge on the way to staying in the first league and fighting for the cup trophy,"
The club, for its part, warmly welcomed him “to the forest”, underlining high expectations for his impact in the second half of the campaign.
