Karim Zito remains focused and determined as Asante Kotoko continue their push for the Ghana Premier League title despite recent setbacks.
The Kotoko coach has stressed that his team is still working hard to keep their title hopes alive this season.
Speaking ahead of their Week 20 match, Zito made it clear that the Porcupine Warriors are not ready to walk away from their ambition.
"Well, you have to make your intention known and then you work towards that. And that is what we are working towards. And I still hold it because it's not too late. As I said, it's a marathon race. Some can start well and then there will be a time when the gap is reach certain stage then you can give up," he told AKSC TV
"But this me I don't give up till it ends. So we are still fighting for it. And football is about moment. There will be a moment when the white will be shining on you and there will be a moment when the black is shining on you.
"So this is you should not give up just like the normal life when things don't go well you don't have to sit down and cry you have to fight hard and then come back to achieve your target so we are not giving up we are still fighting,"
Kotoko will host Holy Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, January 25, hoping to return to winning ways after three games without a victory. That poor run has affected their position on the table, but Zito remains optimistic.
Holy Stars come into the game with one win in three matches and are battling to avoid relegation.
The match kicks off at 3:30 pm.
