Ebusua Dwarfs attacker Nathaniel Appiah was named Most Valuable Player after helping his side begin their 2026 X1 Energy Drink DOL Super Cup campaign with a 4-1 victory over Real Tamale United on Monday.
Appiah scored the opening goal in the fourth minute at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium and produced a top performance as the Cape Coast side secured all three points.
His early goal set the tone for a commanding display from the Mysterious Boys, who went on to establish a two-goal lead before half-time.
Appiah's contribution was recognised after the final whistle when he was presented with the MVP award.
The emphatic victory puts Ebusua Dwarfs at the top of Group A after the opening round of matches.
Earlier on Matchday 1, Debibi United and Attram De Visser shared six goals in an entertaining 3-3 draw.
Dwarfs therefore start their campaign with an early advantage in the group as they target a place in the semi-finals.
The Mysterious Boys will now aim to maintain their momentum in their next Group A fixture and strengthen their push for a place in the last four.
