Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has welcomed the growing confidence of Corporate Ghana in domestic football following a series of new partnerships across various competitions.
Speaking at the GFA’s 32nd Ordinary Congress at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Thursday, August 20, 2026, Simeon-Okraku said the increasing involvement of corporate institutions was a sign of growing confidence in the Association’s work.
“Corporate Ghana continues to demonstrate unwavering confidence in our vision for the development of domestic football,” he said.
“The growing commitment of the corporate community is a strong endorsement of the progress we have made and a clear indication that our competitions continue to offer a credible and attractive platform for strategic partnerships and long-term investment.”
The GFA has secured a three-year partnership with Kivo Ghana, together with JLAB, as joint title sponsors of the revived U-17 Boys Inter-Clubs Colts Championship.
The partnership is expected to provide greater commercial support for grassroots football and create more competitive opportunities for young players.
The Women’s Premier League has also attracted new sponsorship, with Gold Fields Ghana becoming the headline sponsor for the next two years. KFC has also joined the competition as its Official Meal Sponsor.
At the Division One level, XI Energy Drink has signed a four-year partnership as headline sponsor of the Division One League Super Cup.
Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) has also become the new headline sponsor of the Division One League in a three-year agreement.
As part of the partnership, UMB will work with the GFA to launch the maiden UMB U-19 Premier League, designed to provide a structured pathway for young players transitioning from juvenile to senior football.
“This pilot competition will provide another structured pathway for our young footballers to continue their development in a highly competitive environment,” Simeon-Okraku said.
The GFA president also thanked Access Bank for its previous support as headline sponsor of the Division One League.
“I wish to express our sincere gratitude to Access Bank for its invaluable support and partnership over the years, which contributed immensely to the growth and stability of the Division One League,” he said.
Meanwhile, KGL has extended its partnership with the GFA for another two years and will remain headline sponsor of the KGL U-17 Colts Inter-Regional Championship.
The new partnerships cover various levels of the domestic game, from Colts and youth football to the Women’s Premier League and Division One League, as the GFA seeks to expand the commercial base of Ghanaian football.
