Microsoft has introduced into the country Lumia 930 smart phone, the latest addition to the Lumia family. The high-end phone is Microsoft’s response to other devices unveiled by rival mobile phone manufacturers, Samsung and Apple.
Lumia 930, just like its predecessors, runs on the latest Windows Phone 8.1 operating system and comes with a 5-inch AMOLED display.
The device features one of the brightest screens seen on a smartphone, having a HD 1080p screen with sunlight readability and curved Gorilla Glass 3.0 for better viewing angles and outdoor reading experience.
One striking feature about the phone is its 20MP camera endowed with the Pure View ZEISS camera technology, which enables it to capture images especially in low-light conditions in a way never done by Lumia 930’s competitors.
The phone also has 4 ultra-high performance digital microphones that record Dolby Digital for an unparalleled imaging and rich recording and audio-capture experience.
The processor, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 and 2GB of RAM, makes it a monster in terms of multitasking, thereby boosting productivity. Despite not having an expandable storage space, the inbuilt 32GB internal storage should be enough compensation.
The phone comes with a 2,420mAh battery, a far improvement of the 2,000mAh its predecessor Lumia 925 came with. The newly-installed battery is a marked improvement that lasts longer regardless of intensive use of the device.
The Lumia 930 smartphone comes with the best of Microsoft built-in work and play features such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, XBOX, Skype and One Note, allowing content like photos, videos and documents to sync across other Microsoft devices such as Windows Phones, Personal Computers, tablets and XBox devices.
The Lumia 930 continues Microsoft’s colour story with its smooth, gently pillowed rear that echoes it’s beautifully curved glass and brings a splash of Bright Green, Bright Orange, Black or White to the smart phone.
The phone is available at Microsoft Devices-accredited dealer-shops across the country.
