Accra, July 21, GNA - Management of GHL Bank has supported Mr Pericles Gadri, an outstanding African Leadership Academy scholar, to further his studies at the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York City, USA.
The Bank assisted Mr Gadri by taking on the full cost of his travel arrangements from Ghana to the United States of America, where he is set to begin his post-graduate course from mid-August.
Mr Kwamena Budu, the Head of Corporate Communications and Brand Management, presenting a ticket to Mr Gadri said: “There are some people you come across that simply have so much potential that it’s difficult not to offer assistance when asked".
"Pericles Gadri is one such person and we are very confident that he will make us all proud,” he said.
Mr Gadri said the bank’s kind gesture was not just an investment into himself, but into Ghana as a whole because of his plans to return to the motherland to give back to the nation.
“I am so grateful for this financial assistance, and most importantly for GHL Bank’s belief in me that I will excel at the task ahead of me," he said.
He promised to make this experience count, adding it was the least he could do to ensure that he uphold the hopes and expectations of everyone, who has supported him.
Mr Gadri graduated from the African Leadership Academy in South Africa in June 2019, where he merited a 60,000 USD scholarship to continue his pursuit of a medical career.
He is set to take off for the Greater Rochester International Airport next month.
Every year, the bank strives to assist several similar requests with the aim of empowering young individuals and small businesses with financial assistance, technology, and mentoring to drive financial and educational freedom for its beneficiaries.
