Mohammed Kudus has set a clear target for his Tottenham career, declaring that winning a major trophy is essential if he is to belong among the game’s elite.
The Ghana forward made the assertion as he reflected on his early months at the North London club and outlined his long-term ambitions.
His move from West Ham to Tottenham attracted significant attention, not least because he became the first player in 14 years to cross that particular divide.
The transfer underscored his willingness to embrace pressure and expectations, and Kudus says only silverware will validate the decision. Asked what he must achieve to justify his place at this level, he said: “Win a trophy with the club.”
Kudus has made 20 appearances this season, contributing five assists and two goals, and he believes there is more to come as he grows into his role.
“I’m still getting used to everything,” he said. “Even though the demands are high, and obviously there’s no time, you’ve got to perform immediately, joining a club because that’s what the league is about.”
The 25-year-old added that the environment at Tottenham has helped him settle, but stressed that both he and the team must continue to push for higher standards.
“There’s still a lot more to do and to show as a team, individually as well,” he said.
