Nigerian attacking midfielder Lawrence Dafe Egbei is training with Hearts of Oak as he seeks to secure a move to the Accra-based club.
Egbei is currently being assessed by the Phobians’ technical team, who are closely monitoring his performances in training. A decision on whether to proceed with his signing will depend on whether he meets the club’s tactical and physical requirements.
The ongoing transfer window opened on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, and is scheduled to close on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. GMT, giving Hearts of Oak a limited period to finalise their recruitment plans.
Hearts are keen to strengthen their squad as they aim to remain firmly in the Ghana Premier League title race. Despite showing flashes of quality this season, the Phobians have struggled for consistency and currently sit two points off the top of the table.
The addition of an attacking midfielder could provide greater creativity and balance in the final third as Hearts look to sustain their challenge in the second half of the campaign.
