Ghanaian centre-back Nasiru Moro has extended his stay with Swedish Allsvenskan side Degerfors IF.
The versatile player has signed a new deal that will keep him at the club till the end of the year.
The 29-year-old was rewarded with a new contract after helping Degerfors survive the drop last season, playing a remarkable role especially in the away matches at Hammarby and Malmo.
"I want to thank the coaching staff and the sporting management for believing in me. I look forward to putting in the work required to help the team improve,' he said after signing the deal.
Moro has made 36 appearances for the club since joining them in 2024. He will join the club on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 to begin preparations ahead of the new campaign in Sweden.
"It feels good that Moro is staying with us. Last year I thought he developed a lot and made several strong contributions in the back line. He is a very nice guy who contributes both on and off the field," said the club's Sports Director, Patrik Werner.
Moro started his career in Ghana with Accra Lions before moving to Croatia to sign for HNK Gorica. He also featured for Orebro in Sweden before joining Degerfors on a free transfer in 2024.
