The Ghana Premier League title race is heading into a crucial phase, with nine matches left to decide the champion and four clubs still firmly in contention.
After 25 rounds, Medeama SC lead the standings with 46 points, closely followed by Bibiani Gold Stars on 45 points. Aduana FC and Hearts of Oak remain within striking distance, sitting joint third on 41 points.
Recent seasons have seen clubs from the Western Region dominate the league, with Medeama, FC Samartex 1996 and Bibiani Gold Stars all lifting their first titles in succession. That trend could continue this season, with Medeama and Gold Stars currently setting the pace.
Medeama face a demanding run-in, with five of their remaining fixtures away from home. Key trips to Dreams FC, Bechem United and a potentially decisive final-day clash against Hearts of Oak could define their campaign. They are currently given a 32 percent chance of securing the title.
Bibiani Gold Stars appear slightly better placed, with a 34 percent probability of winning the league. Their strong home form could prove decisive, with five matches to be played on home soil. However, difficult away fixtures against Aduana FC, Karela United and Dreams FC remain potential stumbling blocks.
Aduana FC, with an 18 percent chance, will need to navigate a challenging schedule that includes five away matches and a key home clash against Asante Kotoko.
Hearts of Oak, considered outsiders with a 16 percent probability, could yet play a decisive role. With five home fixtures remaining, they face crucial games against Heart of Lions, Nations FC and FC Samartex 1996. Their final-day encounter with Medeama could ultimately determine the destination of the title.
With the margin between the top sides still narrow, the closing weeks of the season promise a tightly contested finish.
