NDC gives Evangelist Aning of Borborliborbor fame a Honda Accord

The NDC has given a brand new Honda Accord car to Evangelist Aning, the singer of the popular gospel song “Borborliborbor”.

The party used the gift to compensate the singer for using his song for their delegates' congress.

According to Aning, the party never informed him prior to making their own rendition of his song, therefore, he called on them for compensation.

This is contained in a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Myjoyonline.com. Aning also noted that the act was a breach of copyright laws, therefore, he gave the NDC reason to compensate him.

He further refuted claims that the party gave him cash together with the car.

Aning explained that money would not help him in the long term, therefore, he requested for the car to help him in his ministry.

Borborliborbor has been nominated in the Gospel Song of the Year and the Popular Song of the Year categories in the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Like many disappointed Ghanaians including yourselves, I am also aware of the numerous unfulfilled promises of this government, which has led to the twin phenomenon of massive job losses and massive unemployment. On this special day, I encourage you, our gallant workers and all citizens, not to despair. Don’t give up on yourselves and Ghana. Let's keep hope alive and pray for better times in the coming years. On my part, I promise you truthful, selfless and dedicated leadership, to improve the wellbeing and security of all Ghanaians. Let me also remind government of the overarching need to work conscientiously towards the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and in this particular case, Goal 8, which calls for the promotion of sustainable economic growth and decent work for all.
