Ghana Recorded 2,249 Deaths Through Road Accidents In 2012

A total of 2,249 people died last year, as a result of motor accidents with 14,181 others injured.
It involved 21,817 vehicles comprising of 10,587 commercial vehicles, 8,790 private vehicles and 2,440 motor-bikes.
In 2011, a total of 19,530 vehicles were involved in accidents with 13,372 people sustaining injuries.
