Medeama SC coach Ibrahim Tanko hopes defender Kamaradini Mamudu succeed at his new club, Al Hilal.
The enterprising full-back completed a long-term move to the Sudanese giants this week following a standout performance in the Ghanaian top-flight.
The move marks Mamudu’s first adventure outside Ghana, and is expected to play a huge role for the club, who are competing for both domestic and international laurels this season.
However, Tanko, has sent well wishes to the defender as he embarks on a new challenge on the African continent.
“Kamaradini is a fantastic person, not just on the field but outside it as well. He is very disciplined and committed,” Tanko said.
“It hurts to lose a player like him, but life goes on. He also has to move on and continue his career elsewhere.”
Despite acknowledging the void Mamudu’s departure creates, Tanko expressed confidence in Medeama’s ability to cope, stressing that the squad has adequate cover in the right-back position.
“We will definitely miss him, but we still have three right-backs who can step up and fill the gap,” he added.
“I wish him all the best and hope he succeeds at his new club just as he did here.”
Mamudu departs the domestic scene for greener pastures, with Medeama on top of the Ghana Premier League table, as the Yellow and Mauve pushes for the second league title in history.
