Stoke City sporting director Jonathan Walters has hailed the "exciting and direct" playing style of new loan signing Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, as the club secured the winger from Crystal Palace for the remainder of the season.
Walters emphasized that Rak-Sakyi was a long-term target, stating, "Having identified Jesurun as a target prior to the January transfer window, we are now delighted to make him a Stoke City player for the season’s final third."
He praised the 23-year-old's proven track record, noting, "He has provided goals and assists throughout his career to date, including in last season's Championship for Sheffield United, when he was a standout forward player."
The sporting director believes the player's characteristics will make him an instant hit with the fans. "The way he plays the game is exciting and direct, so I’m sure our supporters will quickly take to him and make him feel completely at home," Walters added.
Rak-Sakyi arrives with significant second-tier experience, having scored seven goals in 22 starts to help Sheffield United reach last season's Championship play-off final.
He started the current campaign in Turkey with Ãaykur Rizespor, where he contributed four goals and an assist. The former England U21 international, who will wear the number 21 shirt, now joins manager Mark Robins's squad as Stoke City look to add a dynamic attacking threat for the final stretch of their campaign.
